Overview

"Exodus" is a novel by Leon Uris focusing on the founding of the modern state of Israel in 1947. The book was published in 1958. The film adaptation, starring Paul Newman, premiered on December 16, 1960.

In the episode "Babylon", Don Draper, Paul Kinsey, Salvatore Romano, and Pete Campbell work on an ad campaign for Israeli tourism. They read through stacks of research, including the Old Testament and the novel, "Exodus". ("Babylon")

Later, Don reads "Exodus" at home.

"Exodus" is a movie starring Paul Newman and directed by Otto Preminger. It is based on the novel by Leon Uris focusing on the origin of the modern state of Israel in 1947. The film premiered on December 16, 1960.

In the episode "Babylon", Don and his team were reading the novel while working on an account for the Israeli Tourism Bureau. They discussed the upcoming movie.
