Hachi Saito is a Japanese businessman working for Honda.
Towards the end of their meeting with Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce, they were interrupted by Roger Sterling, who could not reconcile doing business with the Japanese. Roger burst into the office and started a rant, stating that they "don't want any of your Jap crap." After he left the room, the other members of SCDP apologize for Roger's rude behavior, and soon realize that their chances have likely been blown when Honda does not send them a gift in the following days.
SCDP decides to deceive the competing company, Cutler, Gleason, and Chaough by pretending to create a commercial that was well outside the bounds that Honda had required them to adhere to. Don Draper appears before them, humbled, and appears disgusted and angered by CGC's speculative commercial, telling the representatives at Honda that they had not held their end of the deal. This move proved beneficial to SCDP, as the Honda representatives were humbled. ("The Chrysanthemum and the Sword")
