As many of us expected, the fifth season of Mad Men has been delayed. But how long you ask? Late summer? Early fall? Nope! You can expect to see more Don Draper in early 2012!
“AMC has officially authorized production of Season 5 of Mad Men, triggering our option with Lionsgate,” the cable network says in a statement released Tuesday morning. “While we are getting a later start than in years past due to ongoing, key non-cast negotiations, Mad Men will be back for a fifth season in early 2012.”
Weiner’s prospective payday would make him the highest-paid showrunner in the business, leading at least one peer to question his stance on the seemingly sensible sticking points. “You can’t ask a network for 10 million [dollars], then bitch when they …Read more >
Still no news on the fate of Mad Men except that a new season will be happening... In the meantime, the show's stars are signing up for projects.
The lovely Christina Hendricks will be starring alongside Julia Stiles, Matt Dillon and Kirsten Scott Thomas on the big screen in "Seconds of Pleasure!" Mike Figgis (Leaving Las Vegas) will be directing from a script written by Neil Labute, who you might recall wrote and directed the horrific remake of "The Wicker Man." The ensemble drama focuses on a group of people on an airplane and Hendricks' character is a woman who catches her husband in a compromising position... The film begins filming this summer in the UK.

We may be freaking out about the lack of any concrete news about season 5 of Mad Men, but the cast doesn't seem worried about it. The lovely, January Jones visited Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa this morning and gave a few hints about what "could" happen next season...
Pushing for details, Philbin managed to get Jones' prediction about what's in store for Betty and newly-betrothed Don Draper. "Now we'll both be married to different people," she says. "So we'll have an affair with each other."
It may seem far fetched but Don and Betty did make peace (at least for now) at the end of season 4. Not that Jones wants to go back to playing season 1's fragile housewife!
"In the first couple of seasons, you're more sympathetic and you may even pity Bett…Read more >
January Jones may be able to relax but, with our favorite show on the line, its hard for maddicts to breathe!
Jones told EW at the premiere of her new film, Unknown, that “people should relax” about the ongoing negotiations between Lionsgate and AMC over the future of Mad Men.
“I don’t have any updates as of now. I still have not heard a date we need to be back to the set. But it will come back,” said the actress. “We just don’t know when. But we usually shoot in spring and summer and it is only February so people should relax. I think it will all get worked out because no one wants to see the show end yet, not the studios or the network or the creator or the actors. I think they just like the drama. They like the build up. It’s like Brett …

With no end to the Mad Men negotiations in sight, show star, John Slattery is looking for a new gig.
"I'm looking for a job," Slattery told The Hollywood Reporter. "I've been writing a little something -- I wrote a screenplay."
But The Hollywood Reporter wasn't able to get any details out of Slattery. "I can't tell you what it's about. It’s a secret. I have the free will not to tell you," he said, referring to his new film's tagline, "fate vs. free will."
But it does sound like he might do more than just write it, he is in discussions to direct the film version as well. "I went to a concert somewhere and I ended up sitting next to the guy who controls the rights to the movie. And I said to him, 'You're not the guy who controls...' and he said…Read more >
